Wedges flexible closure Ultimex F (DMD) are made from a triple laminate composed of a polyester film coated on both sides of nonwoven polyester fibers. This laminate is molded by a continuous process heating, forming and shape fixed by rapid cooling in special molds in the form of U.
The polyester film provides good electrical insulation while the polyester fibers provide greater tear resistance and absorbing resin. The three materials are thermally saturated and subsequently resin bonded class F.
They are used as closure slot coil low voltage motors of small and medium size. They can also be used as separators coils.
