Phenolic Paper Rigid Laminate PFCP 201 ( “Bakelite”)

PFCP rigid laminates are produced by hot pressing multiple layers of cellulose paper and phenolic resin.
Commonly known as “bakelite”, it was the first commercially available synthetic plastic. It withstands a wide a variety of solvents, acids and oils. Its internal structure of cellulose fibers offers good machinability and hot stamping.

Applications:

Recommended for its good electrical and mechanical properties for low voltage applications where low pressure and moderate temperature are required. It is commonly used in potentiometers, transformers, fixing plates, spacers, bearings or components of electrical insulation.
