Applications:
Half Round pultrusion profiles are mainly used in the production or repair of medium and small sized motors and generators. Cut to size, they are used as slot wedges or closures thus, preventing the windings from moving.
Half-round Pultrusion Profiles (Slot closure)
Pultruded profiles are made using endless glass fibres unidirectional laid bonded with a high temperature resistant polyester resin. The finished product is completely halogen free.
This product offers outstanding mechanical properties specially in the fibers direction, light weight, chemical resistance and very good thermal and electrical endurance.
Depending on the shape, they can be used as slot wedges: Flat profiles, half‐round and trapezoidal profiles. Spacers in transformers: Dog‐bone, round, square and rectangular profiles. Insulating tubes in dry transformers. Generally in all electromechanical applications where is needed a high performance product.
