Fastening Strips for Wedges ( “Ripple Spring”)

The wavy strips clamping (also known as “ripple spring”) are made from glass fabric impregnated with resin very high mechanical stability to high operating temperatures. The assembly is pressed at high pressure and temperature with a wavy array until a solid but flexible enough to create a spring effect product.
 
 The resulting plaque is then cut transversely to the corrugations

Applications:

The wavy strips for fastening are mainly used in large motors and generators typically installed vertically, as hydroelectric generators. These strips are inserted into the slots generator locking wedge and the windings. Its function is to press the locking wedge thus preventing its movement due to vibration or thermal changes.
