Pultruded profiles are made using endless glass fibres unidirectional laid bonded with a high temperature resistant polyester resin. The finished product is completely halogen free.
This product offers outstanding mechanical properties specially in the fibers direction, light weight, chemical resistance and very good thermal and electrical endurance.
Depending on the shape, they can be used as slot wedges: Flat profiles, half‐round and trapezoidal profiles. Spacers in transformers: Dog‐bone, round, square and rectangular profiles. Insulating tubes in dry transformers. Generally in all electromechanical applications where is needed a high performance product.
Dog-bone pultruded profiles are mainly used in the manufacture of dry transformers in both cylindrical and rectangular coils shapes.
They are placed as spacers between the core and the windings and between the windings to improve cooling by creating ventilation channels.
